The first day of hunting of the Hunting Season, the Opening, turned out to be rather bad for some hunters presumably victims of anti-hunting vandals.
In fact, the hunters, returning to their cars, after spending a few hours in the Chiusa di Ginestreto area, tasted a bitter surprise: the tires of at least thirteen cars left parked along the San Donato road. The tires showed real gashes made with a knife.
It is very likely that the hunters have been the victim of one or more anti-hunting vandals who, with the damage perpetrated, wanted to express their disappointment towards the hunting activity and those who practice it. As the area in question is heavily trafficked, thugs could have arrived aboard a motorbike or scooter and damaged vehicles in seconds without attracting the attention of passers-by.
The investigations meanwhile continue. The police could make use of the videos recorded by the video surveillance systems that could have captured useful images. It is also thought that there could be many more casualties as other hunters may have replaced damaged tires on their way home, so further complaints are awaited.
