Hunting: a project is being studied for the development of clothing for hunting activities that can protect hunters in the event of hunting accidents.
The National Unification Body (UNI), the institution that certifies the quality of products in all industrial, commercial and tertiary sectors, and which represents Italy in the European (Cen) and world (ISO) standardization organizations, is working on a clothing-armor project intended to respond to the problem of hunting and the controversy surrounding hunting accidents.
Among the world leaders in technical fabrics, the Lenzi Group has patented a fiber which in numerous ballistic tests has shown extraordinary impenetrability. Launched under the Dynafelt brand, the fabric impressed the hunting world.
The owner of the brand, Egisto Lenzi, explained, "The approximately 2000 annual incidents of the hunting season do not include only hunters, but anyone who has the misfortune of being on the trajectory of a shot at the wrong time: volunteers from hunting associations, forester, gamekeepers, civil protection officers and even mushroom hunters ”.
"Today, - adds Fenzi - textile technology is able to produce materials that, in addition to increasing the visibility of the wearer, combine impact resistance and total wearability, characteristics such as to be able to offer hunters and forest goers a real and armored clothing: jackets, vests, trousers, hats, which although light as traditional clothing, are impenetrable by weapons with broken ammunition, even from shots fired from relatively short distances ".
Hence, the birth of the project which also involves leading textile companies, world leaders in the hunting and leisure clothing sector, the main accredited control and certification bodies and the declared interest of Federcaccia and the Cotoniero Textile Center. . A project which, aiming to interrupt a trail of blood and grief, implicitly re-proposes the validity and vitality of Italian textile technology on world markets.
