Val Bormida. Too many roe deer is alarming among farmers
New attacks in Val Bormida, the most affected are the Tortonese, Val Cerrina and Novese. Wildlife, roe deer, are once again threatening vines and crops, so much so that local farmers have called for an extraordinary control plan. The initiatives undertaken to date, such as abbie and electrical wires, have been of no avail.
Coldiretti herself has expressed her concern for a situation that is becoming more and more critical day by day. “Roe deer are constantly on the increase - said the president of Coldiretti of Alessandria Roberto Paravidino - and this is a serious problem for our agriculture, which continues to suffer damage and only partially compensated”.
With regard to roe deer, Coldiretti's position is clear "this ungulate - said Simone Moroni - will soon cause more damage to wild boar farms, so a series of solutions must be put in place immediately".
