As disclosed by the Confederation of Tuscan Hunters, the Regional Administrative Court of Tuscany has rejected the appeal of the URCA on the selection hunt for capriolor, thus giving reason to the Region. The old resolution is therefore valid and the CCT itself has announced that there will be updates on the matter. The URCA had asked for the suspension of the effectiveness of the resolution of the Regional Council number 633 of 2018 and the Objective Law on ungulates.
Here is what we read in the sentence of the TAR judges: "It has been found that, at a first summary examination, the appeal is not supported by sufficient fumus boni iuris, since the characteristics of the individual areas and the distinction between suitable areas and areas were not taken into account by the administration in determining the numerical and qualitative entity of the withdrawal for each of the 540 management units - which took place in compliance with ISPRA opinion and not contested in this judgment - while the regional exception, with respect to the ISPRA opinion, relating to the timing of execution of the sampling, appears to be accompanied by the Administration of adequate motivational apparatus".
The order will be executed by the Administration and is filed with the court secretariat which will notify the parties. As noted by the hunting association, the immediate impression is that the argument will not end with this pronunciation and there will be news in the coming weeks.
