Stephen Maullu, MEP of the Brothers of Italy, has returned to talk about weapons with the following note: "The PD has decided to lash out head-on against a community of decent people, against all gun lovers, proving for the umpteenth time to be light years away from the daily reality of millions of Italians. With the bill filed by the deputy dem Walter Verini, and shared by people like Maurizio Martina and Debora Serracchiani, the PD proposes to introduce a tax of at least 200 euros per year for the legal possession of weapons, to which are added the annual renewal of the medical certificate of suitability and a series of further checks also for those who buy weapons for sporting use.
Even more shocking is the motivation of the proposal: the PD would like to present it as a sort of response to the reform of legitimate defense, as if there was some connection between the issues of legal possession of weapons and the right to self-defense. Apparently, the continuous appeals of the anti-arms crusade were also picked up by the PD, which decided to exploit them only for its own political propaganda and electoral. In order to scrape together a few more votes, the sad democrats are ready for anything, even to present completely senseless bills.
As effectively demonstrated by a research from the Sapienza University, only 5% of the murders are committed with legally held weapons. This data would be enough to dismantle the proposal of the PD and their sterile propaganda, which once again produces ideological and inconsistent bills, based on absolute nothingness. The bill presented by the PD is completely insane, and it does not even deserve to be considered. From the dem we expect an immediate apology to the entire community of fans, which obviously does not deserve to be penalized by the foolishness and ignorance of the PD ”.
