Simon Caselli, councilor for hunting of the Emilia Romagna region, explained how a new monitoring of the situation is underway in view of the general opening of the hunting season 2017-2018. The postponement for hunters from Emilia and Romagna is not excluded, but there are also some limitations regarding some species of sedentary game, in particular hares, pheasants, partridges and gray partridges.
The pre-opening of last September 2, however, took place without problems, but now the commissioner has made it clear that he does not want to ignore the environmentalist appeals and not even the opinions of ISPRA. The pre-opening was not prevented due to the restrictions already present and in effect. In particular, three days ago it was possible to take birds of opportunistic species, without forgetting that the only days allowed are those of Thursday and Sunday (always up to 13).
There is no shortage of limits to game bags, as well as a ban on hunting waterfowl. According to reports from Caselli, the Region is working to understand how to best intervene. The postponement could be one of the choices considered useful to protect the fauna. The 2017-2018 calendar provides that from 17 to 30 September next you can go hunting for 4 days, in rambling form, while for hunting from stalking you can stay until sunset. Finally, the aquatic ban affects 95% of regional wetlands.
