From the hunting season 2020-2021 la Liguria region will consider postponing wild boar hunting in the period included between 31st November and XNUMXst January. This is an important difference with respect to the national law 157 of 1992 which allows it from XNUMX October to 31th December. All this is foreseen in an agenda of the regional councilor Andrea Costa (Liguria Popolare) approved by the assembly this morning in Genoa with 26 votes in favor (both center-right and center-left) and 3 against (5 Star Movement).
“I ask the regional councilor to start a shared path with the hunting associations for postpone the start of boar poop to November XNUMXst - explained Costa himself -, the month of October in Liguria presents with favorable climatic conditions for tourist trekking, therefore for a large number of people who must be able to safely cross the wooded areas".
Rejected with 24 votes against (center-right and center-left) and 5 in favor (M5S and Rete a Sinistra-LiberaMente Liguria) an agenda of the five-star party that would have committed the Giunta Toti to abolish hunting in Liguria on Sundays and holidays to avoid intersections between hunters and nature lovers.
