As announced byANUUMigrators, after the full moon of Monday 24 and the traditional date of September 29 (San Michele), i Song Thrushes have not yet impressed in a decisive way, even if on Sunday 30, in some hilly areas, they saw each other more consistently, so we must entrust to our saints and to the memories of our elders also the dates of Thursday 4 (San Francesco) and Saturday 6 October (San Bruno). Important anniversaries such as Monday 15 October for passage of the Skylarks and, in France, Thursday 18 (San Luca) for the start of the legendary Palombe pass in the south of the Pyrenees.
In short, this is also our passion in these exciting autumn days with still pleasant temperatures, although there was a temporary drop in temperatures between Wednesday 26 and Friday 28 September. The year of the Song Thrush has not yet been savored, but the hopes of fans are renewed day by day. Beyond this there is not much of particular to report if not the good presence of the Blackcap accompanied by an interesting movement of the Robin.
At the FEIN Ornithological Observatory in Arosio, which takes care of these weekly notes, they have noticed the first step Finches while, if the Redwing has been observed in the high mountains, the Sparrow has appeared in the middle hills. However, from the historical records of the FEIN for a September with few presences we have to go back to 1982-1983-1984-1985 to then resume with a truly remarkable trend. Therefore nothing new under the sky!
