The fact does not constitute a crime. This is the reason with which four Piacenza hunters were found not guilty in relation to a story that dates back to exactly three years ago. In fact, in March 2016, these people were participating in a wild boar hunt in the municipality of Spinadesco, in the province of Cremona. According to the indictment, however, there was a prohibition of levy relating to any species. A volunteer guard discovered them in a border area.
On the other hand, in the Cremonese area, it was not possible to hunt, while in the Piacenza area it was in force a plan for the slaughter of ungulates. The four were located outside the Emilian province of 120 meters. The table with the demarcation of the boundary had fallen and there was no other indication to better understand the territory. According to the guard himself, there had been no shots and the hunters had no animals with them. Furthermore, the rifles had bullets but they were unloaded.
The testimonies had hinted that the four could not notice the border crossed, among other things just a little. Another detail was fundamental for the acquittal of recent days. At the Provincial Police the accused showed a document from the Province of Piacenza which explained precisely the authorized killing of wild boars. The situation then appeared clear immediately, even if it took three years to reach the sentence. The firearms license will be returned to everyone and the judge's motivation will be filed within 25 days.
