VENATOR CALENDARS: In Abruzzo region, on the territory included in the territorial hunting areas (ATC), the hunting season is governed by the following provisions:
SUBPART A) HUNTABLE SPECIES AND HUNTING PERIODS
Quail (Coturnix coturnix): in September on the following fixed days 11, 12, 19, 25 and 26, with hourly limitation of hunting for 11 and 12 until 13:00. Quail hunting is also available from 2 October to 29 November 2021. Quail hunting is allowed in Natura 2000 areas from 2 October to 31 October. The Territorial Hunting Areas can delimit the quail hunting area.
Pheasant (Phasianus colchicus): from 2 October 2021 to 31 January 2022. In Natura 2000 areas, pheasant hunting is allowed from 2 October to 29 November. The territorial hunting areas can delimit the pheasant hunting area. In the months of December and January, hunting is allowed only in the territorial management units (wildlife-hunting companies, any districts in the context of ATCs) which implement standardized monitoring of populations, the estimate of the annual profit increase, the drafting of a withdrawal plan commensurate with the population dynamics and the adoption of control mechanisms that allow compliance with the planned plan. The plan must have the favorable opinion of ISPRA. The collection of the species is also allowed in agri-tourism-hunting companies within the maximum time frame established by Law 157/92, art.18.
Rock partridge (Alectoris graeca): from 2 October to 28 November 2021. The hunt for the species can only be exercised with the prescriptions set out in CAPO E-Rock Partridge.
Gray partridge (Perdix perdix): from 2 October to 29 November 2021. The hunt for the species can only be exercised with the provisions set out in CHAPTER G-Partridge.
Hooded crow (Corvus corone cornix), Magpie (Pica pica), Jay (Garrulus glandarius): in pre-opening on 4, 5, 11 and 12 September 2021 and opening from 19 September 2021 until 13 January. In September, the hunting of the species is allowed only in the form of the stalking. Pre-opening of hunting activities is not allowed in Natura 2000 areas.
Merlo (Turdus merula): from 19 September to 30 December 2021.
Wild turtledove (Streptopelia turtur): in September on the following fixed days 4,5,19, 25 and 26, with hourly limitation of hunting for 4 and 5 until 13:00. The hunt for turtledoves can then be carried out from 2 October to 31 October 2021. Hunting in September can only be carried out in the stalking mode. In Natura 2000 areas, the hunt for turtledoves is suspended.
Cesena (Turdus pilaris), Song Thrush (Turdus philomelos), Redwing (Turdus iliacus): from 2 October to 20 January 2022.
Wood pigeon (Columba palumbus): from 2 October to 10 February 2022. From 21 January to 10 February 2022, hunting is only allowed in the form of a stalking. Furthermore, from 21 January 2022, hunting must be carried out exclusively from stalks located no less than 500 meters from the wetlands frequented by water birds. The use of the farmed pigeon is allowed as a live call in hunting from stalking the species, with the exception of the SAC / SIC and ZPS areas. In the Natura 2000 areas, wood pigeon hunting in January is only allowed in the form of stalking.
Lepre (Lepus europaeus): from 2 October to 20 December 2021. The hunt for the species can only be carried out with the requirements set out in CHAPTER F-Hare.
Fox (Vulpes vulpes): stray sampling by the individual hunter 2 October 31 December 2021; hunting in organized teams with the help of dogs followed 2 October 2021 31 January 2022. In the month of January, the hunt for the species can be exercised through operational methods of use of the following dogs prepared by the ATC after consulting the Region.
Woodcock (Scolopax rusticola): from 2 October to 20 January 2022. The hunt can only be exercised with the prescriptions set out in CHAPTER D-Beccaccia. In Natura 2000 areas, woodcock hunting is allowed from 2 October to 30 December. The extension of the huntable period up to 10 January 2022 is allowed to those ATCs that carry out the management of the species which includes the planning of the sampling starting from the analysis of the culled animals and the monitoring of the species.
Boar (Sus scrofa): from 2 October 2021 to 30 December 2021. Hunting is permitted according to the provisions contained in the Regional Regulations n. 1 of 4 May 2017
and smi For selection hunting for wild boar in the Abruzzo Region, please refer to art. 18 of Law 157/92 and art. 11- quaterdecies, paragraph 5, of Law 248/2005.
Teal (Anas crecca), Wigeon (Anas penelope), Coot (Fulica atra), Moorhen (Gallinula chloropus), Mallard (Anas platyrhynchos), Garganey (Anas querquedula), Water rail (Rallus aquaticus), Gadwall (Anas strepera) ), Northern pintail (Anas acuta), Whisk (Lymnocryptes minimus), Shoveler (Anas clypeata): from 19 September 2021 to 20 January 2022. In Natura 2000 areas, hunting is allowed from 2 October to 20 January 2022. Hunting in January in rambling form is only allowed in streams, canals, ditches, rice fields, wetlands and within 50 meters of these.
Lark (Alauda arvensis): from 2 October to 30 December 2021. In order to reduce the hunting impact on the species, hunting is prohibited in the 5 Miles Plan (ATC of Sulmona) for hunters from other regions in possession of a permit. daily (pursuant to Article 16 bis of Regional Law 10/1998). For the measures relating to hunting provided for in the "National management plan for the skylark", in addition to the game bags provided for in Chapter b) point 2, all the killing of Skylark, even those outside the region of hunting residence, must be marked on the card and contribute to the total maximum game bag set seasonally for each hunter.
Snipe (Gallinago gallinago): from 19 September to 20 January 2022. In Natura 2000 areas, hunting is allowed from 2 October to 20 January 2022. Hunting in January in rambling form is only allowed in streams, canals, ditches, rice fields wet areas and within 50 meters of them.
