The numbers of the 2024 edition
Growing in terms of exhibitors and conferences. And stable in terms of visitors. “Hunting, fishing, nature” closed with over 12 thousand visitors spread over two and a half days, in line with the numbers of the 2023 edition. «Very good numbers for a niche fair, for fishermen and hunters, which is carving out increasingly popular spaces in the nature sector and the outdoors" explains the president of Longarone Fiere Dolomiti, Michele Dal Farra. «This year we opened with a conference on climate change, hosted by the climatologist Luca Mercalli, to move on to a focus on fishing tourism and the restoration of the waterways damaged by Vaia. We then made available to the hunting world a transfer service to the Perarolo shooting range, to allow them to try out the rifles. And the professionals - both companies and fishermen and hunters - greatly appreciated the quality and vast panorama offered by this fair".
Many interesting events
Once the fair closed, the "Adopt a fish, adopt a watercourse" competition, organized by the Fantastiche Dolomiti Foundation and the Federation of Fishing Basins of the province of Belluno, also ended. The second edition of this contest, reserved for primary school children, began by bringing training and environmental education to the table. The fishermen explained to the young people how the river habitat works and what life forms there are inside.
Space for children
And then they left the children free rein, asking them to draw. Hundreds of entries arrived at the fair and were exhibited during the "Hunting, fishing, nature" days, to be voted on by visitors, as well as by the technical jury. The most "popular" drawing by the popular jury of visitors to the fair was that of Michele Giavi, of the 4A of Calalzo, with over fifty votes. The young Michele wins a fishing trip with a guide at the Lagole lake (source: Hunting, Fishing, Nature).
