The reaction of the deputy Nino Germanà to the statements of the national president of Federcaccia, Gianluca Dall'Olio, was immediate during an interview with “L'Espresso”.
With regard to the European sanctions against Italy for violations concerning the "Birds Directive", Dall'Olio declared in the interview with "L'Espresso" that he did not understand "all this clamor for the infringement procedure against us".
And the president of Federcaccia continued with a rhetorical question, "With the sting we are about to get for milk quotas, are we worried about the fine we will get for bird hunting?".
Germanà then replied to Dall'Oglio's words, stating “I am sorry to see that the president of Federcaccia continues to be detached from reality and not at all inclined to conform to the European context”.
Finally, Germanà critically concludes, "The infringements perpetrated by a minority discredit the entire hunting sector, to this it must be added that the hunting activity, obviously limited to the limits imposed by the law, constitutes a resource and cannot be at the mercy of a few that cause serious harm to the community and that due to their attitude continue to cause irreversible damage that affects the whole country ".
