In today's session of the Provincial Council of Genoa we discussed the possible sanctions of the European Union deriving from hunting in derogation of the transfer.
The president of the regional council, Rosario Monteleone, had presented to the integrated bureau a proposal to revoke the resolution authorizing hunting notwithstanding the transfer for reasons of "public interest".
President Monteleone explained that lhe proposal for revocation, made during the meeting of the Integrated Bureau, is aimed at avoiding unnecessary and heavy sanctions by the European Union due to the fact that the transfer is one of the species protected by EU directives.
The Northern League player Francesco Bruzzone intervened during today's discussion to confirm his opposition to the revocation of the resolution in question. At the meeting of the own integrated Bureau Bruzzone had made the necessary unanimity lack, thus blocking the decision to then ask that the provision be examined and evaluated in the council commission as, in his opinion, completely legitimate by virtue of the confirmations received from the previous assessments of the TAR and the Council of State.
Bruzzone commented on the proposal as follows, "The revocation of the resolution as proposed is self-castrating" and announced a resolution proposal contrary to the revocation of the provision.
President Monteleone then explained that: “The initiative advanced yesterday to the Integrated Bureau this is the starting point for bringing the resolution to the examination of the competent commission as soon as possible and I propose that this happens as early as next Thursday ”.
Finally Monteleone concludes, “My proposal is not the Gospel: the commission and the Council are sovereign. But it is good that before the 27th there is a ruling by the commission to avoid sanctions".
