Hunting: Liguria, in today's session of the Regional Council a question was presented on single-shot lead ammunition for wild boar hunting.
Francesco Bruzzone with a question, also signed by the other members of the group, Edoardo Rixi and Maurizio Torterolo, asked the council what initiatives it intends to take to eliminate the problems that would arise following the order of the TAR of 17 October 2012, with which the use of single-shot ammunition of lead for hunting ungulates.
Bruzzone underlined that it is impossible to immediately implement this provision and that the risks technically ventilated, and not shared at all, have no immediacy significance. Bruzzone added: "The alternative solutions proposed, such as the certificate from documentation produced by ballistic experts, are extremely dangerous for the safety of users with, in this case, an immediate effect".
Bruzzone pointed out to the council the need for actions "starting with the need to protect the safety of the interested parties, hunters or users of the territory of another nature". For the junta, the councilor for the environment, Renata Briano, replied: «We are working to prepare the defense with respect to the ordinance, which is based on precise answers in terms of security. We will try to demonstrate which are the safest types for the different types of hunting. The defense, therefore, is not limited only to the use of the lead, but analyze the security criteria ". Bruzzone remarked that the ammunition "indicated" by the TAR does not guarantee any safety.
