- Rimini farmers have raised their voices in the last few hours after the meeting scheduled in Novafeltria to discuss the regional hunting ground plan. These are the members of the primary sector ofUpper Valmarecchia, who have raised the alarm after the continuous devastation of crops by wild boars. Among other things, part of the land ends up in fodder, putting it at serious risk health of raised livestock.
Farmers and hunters are therefore increasingly distant in this area of Romagna. The hunting world has been accused of having killed few wild boars compared to the allowed numbers, in order to have ungulates available for the subsequent bars. The farmers themselves no longer have confidence and have asked the Emilia Romagna Region to control the wild boars on their land. Another accusation concerns the Interregional Park of Sasso Simone and Simoncello.
In this natural area, wild animals can be killed, but the collection can only be carried out by the residents of the municipality. In the meantime, the Region has ensured the presence of rules to protect farmers in the new hunting plan: in particular, the Territorial Areas of Hunting must comply with precise rules of conduct in order not to be excluded from killing.
