Hunting: Umbria, the commissioner Cecchini illustrated, in the third commission, the new regional hunting calendar valid for the 2014-2015 hunting season.
Contents and characteristics of the new 2014/2015 Hunting Calendar for the Umbria region were illustrated on June 3 by the Regional Councilor Fernanda Cecchini to the members of the Third Commission of the Legislative Assembly of Palazzo Cesaroni. In the document, withdrawal methods and times are substantially re-proposed identical to those of last season, given the positive opinions found. The novelty, on the other hand, is represented by the fact that there will be two half-days of pre-opening, as we have chosen to use both the first useful day, Monday 1st September, and the first Sunday, 7th September, but only until 13 pm. Hunting for hare will be allowed from 21 September to 7 December. Wild boar hunting, in the allowed forms and with non-toxic ammunition, can be exercised from 5 October 2014 to 4 January 2015, and possibly extended by the provincial administrations in case of failure to achieve the containment objectives of the species.
The provincial administrations will be able to authorize selection hunting of fallow deer, roe deer, red deer and mouflon species, in specific areas and with sufficient consistency, in the periods from 15 June to 13 July 2014, from 17 August to 4 October 2014 and from 5 January to 28 February 2015. Withdrawal allowed for five days a week with non-toxic ammunition, without prejudice to the hunting silence on Tuesdays and Fridays.
In hunting farms, the collection of authorized species, with the exception of ungulates, begins on 21 September 2014 and ends on 31 December, with the exception of pheasant, fox, mallard and wood pigeon species, which can be taken until 31 January 2015. In the farm tourism-hunting companies, the collection of authorized species begins on 1 September 2014 and ends on 31 January 2015.
There are no news regarding the card, which must be returned on March 31 and on which all the animals taken must be noted, and the reciprocity with hunters residing in other regions, regulated by agreements between Regions, Provinces and Management Committees of the ATC. Participation on the hunting calendar will take place next Friday, June 6, at Palazzo Cesaroni.
