Migration updates
Below we report the latest news put in black and white by the ACMA (Aquatic Migratory Hunters Association) regarding one of the most interesting scientific projects of recent weeks. We are talking about the monitoring that concerns the coots, the gruiform birds of the Rallidae family.
An eventful journey
Here is what the ACMA wrote about it: “VENETO 10 is the second coot that we have managed to follow for more than a year. After having wintered in the Province of Venice, it left for its nesting places. Last wedding season had a rather particular and eventful journey, we'll see what it will do this year."
The quality of the equipment
The note continues: “These results are excellent news for research as they demonstrate the quality of the instrumentation, but above all the tolerability of the transmitter for the coot that is equipped with it and continues to live its life in a normal way. In the duck's beak everyone" (source: ACMA).
