Caccia Village 2014: It was in the air !! We felt the great expectation of the public and also the companies that presented themselves at Caccia Village with great expenditure of means and resources.
The great expectation of being present at Caccia Village hovered in the air. Numerous indicators have long given the organizer the certainty of being on the right track, following the growing success of last year. But the indicators were not able to perceive the swarm of crowds that submerged the Bastia Umbra Fair in the three days of the event, literally pulverizing all the records already achieved in 2013. These are years of crisis, yet the transport for the healthy passions contained in Caccia Village, has prevailed in an intense and growing way. Tens of thousands of enthusiasts flocked to the structure, dressed up for the occasion, with the great support of many companies that helped decorate the entire exhibition center with their captivating posters.
The large crowd, expected, but not to such an extent, has put both the new ticket office and the established exhibition route in crisis, requiring changes to the organization of the barriers in order to facilitate inflows, visits and outflows. A lot of satisfaction from enthusiasts for the presence at the fair with important stands of the most well-known brands in the sector and great satisfaction of these for the presence of an audience, recognized by all, as extremely competent and prepared. These results set the stage for a series of reflections by the organizer on how to always provide the best service to both: the public and exhibitors. In addition to the many famous companies that have accompanied the Umbrian event for years, other new ones have been added in official form, with significant use of high-level technical personnel, able to best satisfy the curiosity of the general public. Two important innovations, not branded but of intense interest, have made their presence at Caccia Village: for the first time an “Opera Venandi” award has been created, reserved for those who carry out their daily work in favor of hunting. Awarded Bruno Modugno, Marco Citterio, Elisa Lucibello, Luigi Castelletti, Daniele Bandini, Teresa Renda and Andrea Castellani, professionals who work in various capacities in favor of hunting.
Another important novelty was the presence for the first time with an official Club stand Caliber 16, a cultural association, of strong passion and in great expansion, which carries out its work in favor of the gunsmith culture and its significant importance in the economy of our country. Many and intensely participated events surrounding the pure exhibition: the usual dog show that has always accompanied Caccia Village was this year even more frequented by the dog lovers present, while the organizer recorded with great satisfaction a great presence of the public to the numerous seminars of both a cultural and technical-scientific nature.
The final one dedicated to the Double Franchi Imperiale Montecarlo, which belonged to the legendary champion Gino Bartali, organized by Fidasc, has achieved such great success as to trigger a design idea with highly important regional itineraries in order to make known the weapon and the human and hunting history of the great cyclist who 'he owned. The commitment of all the associations present was also impressive, in particular the hunting ones, and those belonging to Coni, FITAV and FIDASC, which saw their commitment rewarded with the intense presence of enthusiasts at their stands. The institutions led by the Region of Umbria and the provinces of Perugia, Terni and Arezzo have provided their passionate contribution to make the 2014 edition of Caccia Village succeed, which is now a point of pride for all of Central Italy.
The organization with its "exhausted" staff at the end of the three days is proud to be able to say that it has reached unimaginable numbers of attendance and has recorded a significant level of satisfaction both in exhibitors and visitors. Particular applause goes to the efficiency of the set-up company, to the personnel assigned to the management of security, to the armed surveillance, to all the components of the police forces commanded in service and to the local environmental associations, which unlike what happens on others squares, have not instituted forms of protest towards shared passions, giving a serious demonstration of respect for the work of all the professional components employed in the event.
The Caccia Village Staff, after a necessary rest, will soon resume planning for the edition 2015, where some interesting news are planned, in order to make the experience of a day spent in Bastia Umbra accompanied by your passion more and more pleasant.
