More than 100 cages intended for the capture of otters in Ferrara they were completely destroyed in a few months by animal rights activists. The actions are not sporadic, as evidenced by the Confagricoltura local, therefore one thinks of targeted and coordinated actions. Those responsible do not understand that with these damages the problems for the environment, agriculture and man are multiplied. In addition, public money has been invested in these cages, resources of the citizens who come wasted as worse you could not.
Among other things, the vandals leave many pieces of metal in the fields and the damage only increases. The situation is serious and companies are now exasperated. The agricultural association recalled how the otters are responsible for the worsening of the embankments of the rivers, a risk that causes fraunas and landslides. Another risk is the extinction of the flora, since the rodents are greedy for it, not to mention the destruction of the nests and the predation of the eggs of many birds typical of this area.
Confagricoltura then underlined the reproduction of the species which occurs at an impressive rate (each female specimen can give birth to 14 babies). The blitzes of animal rights activists and environmentalists, therefore, are real condemnations for other typical species of the Ferrara area.
