ANLC denounces the ignorance of Edoardo Stoppa's extremely "biased" service, "The Brother of the Animals", broadcast last night by Striscia la Notizia on the occasion of the opening of the hunting season.
The friends of animals or rather, the MEDIA ANTICACCIA, have struck again !!! With a service full of banalities, clichés, artfully constructed images and seasoned with a good dose of cialtroneria, the usual "anticaccia" animalist battle of Striscia la Notizia has restarted, which is always careful to cajole the friends of the "birds" by systematically putting to the media pillory many honest and upright citizens who have only the "fault" of having another conception of life and nature and of exercising a rural activity recognized by the Constitution and by more than one Community Directive: HUNTING.
But if it is absolutely legitimate to be ethically against hunting, as long as it does not lead to a lie, disinformation and contempt for what is legally regulated by state laws and scientifically sustainable as modern hunting is not as legitimate and legitimate.
In fact, what we cannot tolerate, beyond the ridiculous drama of the "handful" of pellets collected on the ground by the journalist (?), Is the gross and deliberate ignorance of the scientific and social value that hunting holds today (throughout Europe) in global management of the environment and wildlife.
Equally intolerable, finally, is the obstinacy with which we continue to describe Italian hunting, painted as a sort of Far West without rules, knowing full well that the hunting activity is regulated by very strict rules and subjected to rigorous controls that would certainly prevent too many "Television preachers" to obtain the license of firearms for hunting purposes.
La Libera Caccia, in denouncing the total ignorance of the television service (moreover amply demonstrated, we repeat, by the handful of pellets collected artfully from the ground) sends back to the sender the demagogic and unfounded accusations contained therein, strongly reaffirms the correctness and moral integrity Italian hunters (whom we will protect in all appropriate locations), who can NEVER and IN NO EVENT be compared to those few criminal poachers without rules, who tarnish the image of our category and must be prosecuted with the greatest possible severity.
