ANPAM: "The oppositions have made a lot of confusion about nothing, we are not asking to remove security restrictions but only to eliminate useless and harmful bureaucratic quibbles".
“The commitment made by the Lombardy Regional Council - declared the president of ANPAM avv. Nicola Perrotti - wants to put pressure on the Government to find a way to correctly apply European legislation, nothing different and nothing more. The ANPAM is therefore satisfied with the closeness shown by the Council to the companies, which for some months have been engaged in the fight against the useless bureaucracy on exports of sporting and civil weapons to countries where there are no security or humanitarian and civil problems.
At the same time, however, it must register positions that hide complete ignorance of the subject matter behind a pacifist ideology. We are talking - repeats the president Perrotti - of weapons for sporting and civil use, that is hunting and shooting, and specifically of the Italian ones, considered the excellence of the sector in the world. It is therefore not a question of weapons of war and any reference to pacifism, in this case, is out of place and out of context ”.
This is the comment of the National Association of Sporting and Civil Weapons and Ammunition Manufacturers after the discussion on the motion, then approved, which commits the Regional Council chaired by Roberto Maroni to bring to the Government the state of difficulty and prostration in which they find the companies of the Brescia area, but not only, due to a useless and harmful bureaucracy. The situation became confusing after some members of the opposition shifted the strictly economic and administrative issue to the ideological level of a generic pacifism. Even some leading newspapers have spoken of "free movement of weapons", creating even more confusion in public opinion.
"We are not asking to eliminate the existing constraints, certainly among the most rigid in the world and on this we are not afraid of denials, - said Perrotti - but to put our hand to the entire package of rules piled up over the years between EU and national regulations. , which in the end created a real mess of rules to the detriment of Italian companies and workers. Almost exclusively family-run companies and in any case in most cases of an artisanal mold. Lombardy, where most of this manufacturing sector resides, which on the whole is worth almost one point of GDP and maintains about 100.000 families directly and indirectly, - added the President of ANPAM - has therefore deservedly raised the question at a time of crisis. general economic in order to help the few Italian companies still in surplus not to lose orders and, consequently, not to find themselves in difficulty with the salaries of workers. For this we want to thank - concludes Perrotti - all the councilors, from different parties, who approved the motion. Evidently able to distinguish the real needs of companies and families thanks to their contact with the local reality, where a serious, concrete and respectful of the rules has been successfully operating for hundreds of years, such as that of sporting and civil weapons ".
