Arci Caccia manifests "a clear and strong NO to the Ernici park" and urges "Let's defend our territory from the bureaucrats of Rome".
A few days ago the news with which the convinced supporters of the Parco dei Monti Ernici celebrated in local newspapers, a resolution of the Regional Council on the establishment of the aforementioned Park. In specifying that from a careful reading of the resolution, the Lazio Region has not deliberated anything, but has only charged with carrying out studies and programming, perhaps more to please some professional friends than for conviction and sharing of the project, it is however necessary to raise the level on guard in strongly opposing this plan, also and above all in the light of the regulatory blitzes to which politics has accustomed us.
I have a duty to reiterate that the protected areas, which must include all the areas where hunting is forbidden (often the promoters of the park forget this regulatory incident), must be a maximum of 30% of the agro-forestry pastoral area. The Provincial Administration of Frosinone, the only body responsible for Territorial Planning, has repeatedly stated that the percentage is above 30%, so this park cannot be established.
Another reason why the park cannot be established is that it needs the binding opinion of the municipalities and local communities, which have so far been completely ignored. In this regard, I appeal to the Mayors and administrators of the Municipalities who should fall within the park not to sell off their territory for a few handfuls of money, which once finished will leave only bureaucratic constraints which citizens, farmers and breeders will have to suffer, under penalty hefty fines needed to raise cash to pay the hefty salaries of President, Director and company by singing. Ask your colleagues who are already part of a protected area how they find themselves and the difficulties they encounter even in speaking with the Park Authority.
In this regard, I quote a joint statement from the Municipalities of Trevi nel Lazio and Filettino a few months ago, with which the Mayors of the aforementioned Municipalities in complaining about a state of profound discomfort for the coexistence of the communities with the Parco dei Monti Simbruini, close the long letter with a very eloquent statement on the state of the two communities: "In the event that our proposals should remain a dead letter and the idea, in fact, of transforming the Park from a territorial body to a demographic body should prevail, it will be our task to take all the initiatives to bring our municipalities to minimize the surface area available to the Park itself.
