It is really with great pleasure that we communicate the perfect performance of the test that was held in the days of Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 February in Livorno dedicated to the Queen of the Wood, the Cirano Baldi Memorial. The organizing committee of the CCT strongly wanted this test both to remember again Cyrano, great man and hunter of the past who for his simplicity has remained in the hearts of many, both for the just purpose of the manifestation, that is to give the proceeds to charity to help those who really need it most.
In the two days of competition dedicated to the Woodcock they alternated on the field, in the magnificent scenarios of the Labron woods, the dogs of the continental and English categories, which together with their handlers, competed for the prestigious Trophy. The winners were respectively CRIO, Epagneul Breton di Silvestri for the continental breeds and SCHEILA, Raciti's English Setter for the English. SPECIAL AWARD TO THE YOUNGEST DRIVER then it was awarded to ROCCO BARSACCHI WITH THE ENGLISH SETTER MAMBAThis is also a good sign that the passion for dog lovers knows no age, and that more and more “new recruits are approaching the world of tests today thanks to the working groups of the Provincial CCT of Livorno.
A dutiful thanks goes to all the sponsors, ai owners of the Rimigliano and Bronzivalle estates who have allowed the race to take place on their land, and to all the people who have joined their forces to organize this event. Finally, a special thanks goes to the dogs and their owners, who, driven by the passion that Cirano also had, sanctioned the success of an appointment which we hope will become an annual custom.
The proceeds from the event as requested by Cirano's family will therefore be all donated to charity, to the Dynamo Camp Onlus Foundation based in Limestre in the province of Pistoia, which offers free specific Recreational Therapy programs to children and adolescents suffering from serious chronic diseases. Once again and with pride the passion for hunting and dog lovers, at the service of the community (The Secretariat CCT).
