The national vice president of Federcaccia, Antonio D'Angelo expresses his disappointment at the block to the pre-opening of the hunting season in Campania following the acceptance of the appeal presented to the TAR of Naples by the WWF.
In Campania tomorrow 1 September unfortunately will not be a pre-opening day and many hunters after a long wait will not be able to devote themselves to their passion until after the official start of the hunting season in mid-September. The TAR proved the environmentalists right, creating disappointment among the hunters and the exponents of the hunting associations, among all the Federcaccia.
The National Vice President of Federcaccia Antonio D'Angelo, disappointed with regard to the suspension of the pre-opening in Campania, declares "Unfortunately, once again an inefficient political class, like the previous one, has offered its side to an appeal, I believe without any foundation , which suspended the pre-opening in Campania.
For the environmentalists, in my opinion, it was a Pyrrhic victory, in fact the pre-opening would have offered the regional economy a further not insignificant economic opportunity.
Despite the numerous appeals that for years the hunting associations have addressed to the Campania region to draw up a new Wildlife Plan, partially canceled about 10 years ago, the same region with its not doing does not allow the pre-opening in Campania to about 40.000 citizens hunters.
This is what is left to the hunters of citizens to draw the right conclusions ”.
