This is what emerges from the Coldiretti / Ixe 'survey on presence of wild boars in Italy which exceeded the 2 million mark. "For almost 7 out of 10 Italians, 69%, there are too many wild boars that rule the city and countryside - reads a note by Coldiretti - they put people's safety at risk, cause road accidents with deaths and injuries, devastate crops and are potential spreaders of diseases such as swine fever ”.
On the increase in accidents and attacks by wild boars, Coldiretti explains that "since the beginning of the month they have already 3 victims in two road accidents". “Over 6 out of 10 Italians, 62% - according to the Coldiretti / Ixe 'survey - are afraid of wild boars and almost half, 48%, would not even take a home in an area infested by these animals”.
