A curious sighting to say the least that of the last few hours, in the area Pachino about 5 miles offshore where a fisherman spotted two wild boars who swam in the direction of Marzamemi. “From a distance I thought it was a shark cone, so I approached with the intention of making a video. But then I realized they weren't sharks, but wild boars, ”says the fisherman in a video he shot on the spot. The man, evidently of a good soul, escorted the two animals for over an hour up to a stone's throw from the beach of San Lorenzo.
One of the two managed to get to the shore and was rescued near the seventh street, while the other is currently missing at sea. The Harbor Master's Office and the Forestry Corps have started the search for the wild boar of which there is no news at the moment. A very curious fact also because in that area, in the southern province of Syracuse, there are no similar animals (Siracusa News).
