Sustainable hunting is essential for the conservation of European biodiversity: this is one of the messages launched by Carmen Vella, European Commissioner for the Environment, during the conference dedicated to young hunters last September 6 in Brussels. The event was exploited precisely to demonstrate how i 7 million hunters of the old continent contribute to achieving the objectives of the biodiversity strategy.
In particular, Janneke Eigeman, head of the press office of the Royal Dutch Hunting Association, spoke of young people, recalling how in the Netherlands about 50% of people obtain hunting permits when they are boys.
