In Pra, a roe deer that went too far into the city was captured by the Provincial Police in the parking lot of a supermarket and then released in a protected area.
From the risks of the congested traffic in Pra to the safe tranquility of the greenery of a protected area in Val d'Aveto. A female roe deer was thus saved by the Provincial Police who recovered her in the parking lot of a supermarket in the Genoese delegation of Pra where the animal, having entered the town from the woods, had sought refuge by now exhausted and very frightened, after having wandered between buildings, walls and unknown streets full of the roar of engines.
The presence in the parking lot of the female roe deer, a very young specimen of no more than six or seven months, was reported to the Provincial Police by some people in the area and the agents intervened to recover her and then take her to a veterinarian "who visited and cared for for free - they say to the Provincial Police - with a passion and a love that really do him honor and that have allowed the animal to receive the necessary care ”.
The female, in fact, had some respiratory problems, healed perfectly with antibiotics before releasing her. The treatments, without the voluntary efforts of the veterinarian, would not have been possible because the Province "for reasons that absolutely do not depend on our will, but from the very heavy cuts to the budget of the national spending review - says the extraordinary commissioner of the body Piero Fossati - unfortunately it no longer has funds to finance, as in the past, an important service such as rescue for wildlife in difficulty, as in the past ”.
If the moment of the Province, in transition to the Metropolitan City, is particularly difficult and complex, the story of the little somersault is instead a happy ending: completely restored after a couple of days of treatment, today it was accompanied by the Provincial Police in a protected area of Val d'Aveto in the Rezzoaglio area, where he immediately regained his freedom.
