Federcaccia: Umbria, the Norcia hunters on the front line alongside the Provincial Police, to fight against the poisoned morsels that in recent weeks have claimed victims among wildlife and hunting dogs.
Norcia's hunters on the front line against poisoned morsels. The municipal section Federcacciatori di Norcia, together with other hunting, sporting and naturalistic associations, has accepted with commitment the invitation sent by the Valnerina detachment of the Provincial Police, to participate - next Sunday, March 17 - in a reclamation campaign in the surrounding countryside the city of San Benedetto, in this case the areas of Opaco, Misciano and the industrial area. In recent weeks, as appeared in numerous press articles, several animals have been victims of poisoned morsels. The first victim, at the end of January, was the dog of a Nursino hunter, while during the month of February the same fate befell two wolves and a fox.
The latest episodes, among other things, took place inside the Sibillini National Park. The whole Federcaccia, in firmly condemning the vile practice of the "sowing" of poisoned morsels, has made itself available to the competent authorities so that the remediation process, coordinated by the men of the Provincial and the Veterinary Service of the ASL, can give the best possible results , allowing the investigators to obtain useful elements for the continuation of the investigations and averting other dangerous situations, both for wildlife and for pets.
