Initiative of the hunters of the Province of Arezzo, belonging to the hunting associations Federcaccia and Enalcaccia who have decided to donate the proceeds of the competitions held in June to charity.
Yesterday morning, 28 October 2011, the president of the Province of Arezzo, Roberto Vasai, personally delivered the funds raised by the hunters to the Aretino Committee of Neonatology in favor of the Neonatology department of the Arezzo Hospital and thus commented on the initiative : “The Arezzo hunters have a big heart and they show it with the circle of solidarity they know how to build with their initiatives”.
For some years now, the proceeds from the competitions held in June at the quagliodromes of Talzano and Pratantico with pointing dogs, have been donated by the hunters belonging to the Federcaccia and Enalcaccia associations to the local Neonatology department.
The president of FIDC, Domenico Coradeschi, and the president of Enalcaccia, Iacopo Piantini, comment satisfied, "The collaboration with the Arezzo Department and the Neonatology Committee, born by chance but consolidated over time, sees our hunters constantly engaged on the solidarity front. ".
In particular, for this occasion the proceeds donated to the hospital amounted to 2.580 euros; the charitable offer was received by Dr. Letizia Magi and Dr. Silvia Ciofini, together with the Vice-President of the Arezzo Committee of Neonatology, Roberto Giusti.
The promoters of the charity initiative also commented "We want this to be an opportunity, as well as to highlight a gesture of solidarity on the part of the Arezzo hunters, also to sensitize all those who want to participate in this noble cause".
The ward doctors say that the money donated to the ward last year was used to purchase breast pumps to be used to collect breast milk; the generosity of many donor mothers last year made it possible to collect about 490 liters of breast milk. This year's donation will instead go towards the purchase of equipment for the ventilation of children, including older ones.
Finally, President Vasai concluded, “Thinking about our children is particularly important and it is also a signal that we give to the city on the profound value of these gestures”.
