Avellino: the provincial president of the National Free Hunting Association in a letter expresses his indignation at the situation of hunting in Campania.
The letter from the Provincial President of ANLC Avellino, Manuela Denaro, reads, “The hunting activity in Campania is now coming to an end also due to the measures of the last few days and the institutional incidents that occurred this year. Let's go in order: finally after years it seemed that the Campania political class seriously wanted to take an interest in the hunting sector, modifying the Regional Law 8/96 by making substantial changes aimed at a modernization of the discipline so as to obtain positive notes from regional and provincial political institutions. .
It seemed therefore the year of change but today, a few months after these good intentions, we are forced to report a series of events that have not brought improvement but have only penalized the hunting world, a world made up of men and women who would like to exercise a their right enshrined in the relevant laws.
The first foul, the issuance of an illegitimate hunting calendar on some points relating to the pre-opening that force the TAR to suspend it upon appeal by the WWF and essentially postpone everything to the opening (or almost) of the third Sunday in September. Furthermore, the amendment to the aforementioned law extended the exercise of migratory hunting throughout the Campania region through the payment of € 31 to the region by all hunters but once again the WWF obliges the Regional Council to take a step back. , the TAR in fact declares "not due" the payments in question for above all formal matters and thus for the hunter beyond the injury the insult: 31 € already paid but the impossibility of exercising the resulting right.
In this regard, Libera Caccia Av did not want to exploit this by advertising appeals for reimbursements that it is not known if and when they will ever occur and certainly not for the entire quota but to protect their interests, it invited its members to apply for compensation for the 2013/2014 vintage.
Finally (hopefully, at least for this year) on the appeal of the "Victims of the Hunt" association, the TAR closed the woodcock business on 31/12/2012, instead of January 20, 2013 as previously foreseen by the calendar, following the opinion of ISPRA (Higher Institute for Environmental Protection and Research). We do not explain, being a migratory species, why the same restrictive rule does not apply in the neighboring regions of Puglia and Basilicata. Mysteries of Italian Politics!
The Ass. Nat. Libera Caccia di Avellino is to say the least indignant by all this, above all we do not understand the modus operandi of the bodies in charge. The mockery is obvious, it is absurd not to imagine what one would have encountered by approving measures with obvious violations. What is happening?
The Free Hunt Avellino now considers it appropriate, in defense of the interests of hunters, to take strong actions against those who, after being elected, should defend all citizens, hoping for a convergence between all hunting associations for a greater unity of purpose. "
