The Forestry, Mountain, Naturalistic and Faunistic Systems Service of the Umbria Region has published a management determination regarding the hunting in hunt for wild boars. THE abatement plans foreseen for each district have not been reached, moreover there continue to be numerous reports of damage to agricultural productions by ungulates.
The containment of wild animals began yesterday and will continue on 13, 18, 20, 25 and 27 January in the districts and sectors assigned by the Territorial Areas of Hunting (Perugia 1, Perugia 2 e terni 3). The method chosen is that of the hunt: the wild boar teams inserted in the ATC registers have been authorized, without forgetting that the interventions must take place in the presence of voluntary hunting guards or other supervisory bodies.
Among other things, the authorized containment stops must be carried out limited to the completion of the abatement plan considered as a minimum objective and which can be exceeded in excess without limitations. The executive determination also speaks of compliance with the rules governing the normal hunting day and obviously the regional regulation 34 of 1999 (“Hunting collection of the wild boar species”). The stations of the Forestry Carabinieri who are competent in the Umbrian territory have been informed of the activity.
