Hunting and Hunters. A hunter, Marco Forno di Revello (CN), writes to the online newspaper "TargatoCN" representing his indignation for the image combined with an article published on 13 October 2015 regarding the inauguration in the Province of Cuneo of the exhibition "Libertà lost: poaching in Italy ”organized by Pro Natura Cuneo and now closed.
The purpose of the exhibition was to denounce the reprehensible practice of poaching, a crime punishable by law but unfortunately still widespread throughout the National Territory but the newspaper in question in associating an image with the article has unfortunately chosen the image of a hunter who embraces a rifle.
Below is the text of the letter from cacciatore Marco Forno to the newspaper "TargatoCN":
"Good morning Director,
this is to signal, as a hunter and a lover of nature (the two things are absolutely not in contradiction, as a certain animal-environmentalism living room would have us believe instead) that I absolutely disagree with the choice.
This is because the image of the hunter intent on shooting associated with an exhibition that talks about poaching, a practice often and willingly carried out not even with the use of weapons but with that of traps of various kinds (as can be seen from the same video attached to the article ), undeniably contributes to endorse the equation "hunter = poacher", always supported by the aforementioned animal-environmentalist world which, for its part, is opposed to hunting.
Hunting, it should be remembered once again, in Italy as in the rest of Europe is regulated by precise and stringent regulations (sometimes even absurd, as in the case of Piedmont, but this is another matter). Poaching, on the other hand, is a completely illegal practice that has nothing to do with hunting properly understood, just as the ultrà who is tainted with crimes has nothing to do with the civil fan, or has nothing to do with it. nothing with Code-abiding drivers, pirates of the road and so on.
Of course you will want to give space to mine, thank you for your attention and cordially greetings ".
