The Cinque Terre National Park has launched a competition for the achievement of the qualification of wild boar selecontroller.
The Cinque Terre National Park, in agreement with the Province of La Spezia and the Community of the Park, has launched a competition-course for the conferral of the qualification of "Coadjutor to the control actions of the wild boar population" in the Cinque Terre National Park Terre, pursuant to the Park Fauna Regulation approved by the Extraordinary Commissioner on 11 March 2011 following the favorable opinion of the Park Community on 2 March 2011.
For admission to the course-competition for the conferral of the qualification of "Coadjutor to the control actions of the wild boar population" in the Cinque Terre National Park, interested parties must fill in the appropriate application and send it to the legal and administrative headquarters of the Body Park. Applications must be received by 12.00 on April 20, 2012. Applications that arrive at the Park Authority after the established deadline will not be accepted.
All candidates who meet the following requirements will be admitted to the competition:
- Owners and handlers of ENCI-qualified dogs for the control of wild boar, residing in the Municipalities of the Territorial Area of the Park;
- Residents in the Municipalities included in the areas of competence of the Park Authority: La Spezia, Riomaggiore, Vernazza, Monterosso and Levanto;
- Owners and handlers of ENCI-qualified dogs for the control of wild boar, residing in the municipalities bordering the Territorial Area of the Park;
- Residents in the Municipalities bordering the Territorial Area of the Park;
- Owners and handlers of ENCI-qualified dogs for the control of wild boar;
- Owners and handlers of dogs suitable for control activities on wild boar;
- Non-residents in the Municipalities of the Park Territorial Area;
The admitted subjects must participate in a compulsory attendance course and final exam concerning the motivations and usefulness of the control, legislation concerning the control of wildlife populations in protected areas, wild boar biology, knowledge of direct and indirect control systems and determination of age of the animals according to the state of the dentition. The dates and location of the course and exams will be communicated by the Park Authority to the admitted subjects.
The granting of the qualification of "Coadjutor to the control actions of the wild boar population" in the Cinque Terre National Park and the consequent authorization, will be subject to the attendance of the course and the passing of the exams. The Park Authority has the right to extend or reopen the terms of the call if the number of competitors is deemed insufficient for the success of the selection. In this case, the previously submitted applications remain valid. Likewise, to motivate reasons of public interest, the Park Authority can revoke, before the deadline, the course already announced. The revocation measure will be notified to all those who have submitted an application to participate. The Selection Committee of the competition will be appointed with a subsequent provision.
