Sicily: Hunting associations against the Legambiente appeal
The Hunting Associations Arcicaccia, ASCN, Sicilian Federation of Hunting, Italian Federation of Hunting, Sicilian Council of Hunting, ANCA and ANUU, Enalcaccia were formed at the TAR Sicily, section of Palermo, to resist the appeal proposed by Legambiente and the Mediterranean Association for Nature (MAN).
We would like to point out to our hunters friends that the Councilor for Agricultural Resources, Hon. Bufardeci, had started the procedure for revoking the recognition of this latter association (MAN), as a regional environmental association, pursuant to LR33 / 1997, for obvious lack of legal requirements.
However, under the pressure of a Messina Regional Deputy of the UDC, the Hon Giovanni Ardizzone, the Councilor Bufardeci himself initiated the procedures for suspending the revocation, recognizing the meritorious activity of the association, against which the "rules" written in a Regional Law (Law 33/1997, precisely) take on the value of bureaucratic gags.
For a sad twist of fate, after being "saved" by the Hon. Ardizzone and Bufardeci, despite the lack of the requirements of Law 33/1997, the same MAN association filed an appeal against the Hunting Calendar issued by Councilor Bufardeci, for alleged violation, among other things, of LR 33/1997!
Regardless of the groundlessness of the appeal, in whose rejection we confidently trust, it is truly incredible to verify how an environmental association was able, until yesterday, to invoke a "derogation" from the rules of the law, and then ask, today, not to let us go hunting because the Region has not respected the law.
Friends hunters, this is the best demonstration of the fact that there is no hunting "lobby", as some politicians have suggested, but that the pressure groups are only on the side of the environmentalists, moreover financed with the taxes that each of them we pay.
For the future, when you go to choose your political representatives, in order not to make a mistake, remember above all those who wanted us badly!
