Hunting / Liguria: Asked to postpone the closure of the hunting activity, the Regional Council says NO.
Rome, 18 Jan - As part of today's meeting of the Regional Council, Councilor Francesco Bruzzone (LNP) asked, through a specific question, to extend the current hunting season, which is scheduled to close on 31 January next, in month of February.
This is a faculty granted to the regions by recent amendments to the national hunting law. Some regions are extending the hunting season to February.
Once again the regional council replied NO. A vision of hunting matter still prevails contrary to what is required by the territory. It should be remembered that there are really many Ligurian hunters who hunt in France where it closes on February 28 for the same species of Ligurian hunting interest.
The regional council has given Bruzzone willingness to think about the following hunting season, but in the meantime the opportunity is lost. This is the note from the Ligurian Regional Assembly.
