Sardinia: one month derogation. The criticisms of the Democratic Party
The one-month derogation (February 2011) for the exercise of hunting has been approved by the Regional Council of Sardinia.
Ermete Realacci, Roberto Della Seta, Susanna Cenni of the Democratic Party and Marco Ciarafoni responsible for biodiversity and wildlife policies of the Democratic Party then expressed their disagreement: "as has already happened repeatedly in Veneto, the hunting season has also been opened in Sardinia. limits, in disregard of national and European regulations, which for some time have placed wild species under a protection constraint ".
“Veneto, and consequently Italy - they continue - have been repeatedly condemned by the European Court of Justice for the incorrect use of the instrument of the derogation. Before Italian citizens are called to pay for the infamous choices of the center-right administration of Sardinia, we ask the Ministers Prestigiacomo, Galan and Fitto to bring a government appeal against the Regional Law of January 19, 2011 ".
According to members of the Democratic Party, the authorization to hunt would be "a massacre of legality, which the Court of Justice has already clearly condemned [...] a wicked choice from an environmental and regulatory point of view".
