Hunting in derogation: The Veneto Region has approved the hunting notwithstanding a transfer, brambling, pipit and finch.
The regional council of Veneto, on the proposal of the regional councilor for hunting Elena Donazzan, adopted the resolution authorizing the hunting of species in derogation in Veneto for the 2009/2010 hunting season.
The regional resolution, made necessary due to the impossibility by the Regional Council of approve the hunting law in derogation, as it happened from 2002 to 2008, it will have to acquire the expected opinion of the IV Regional Council before being made definitively executive.
The huntable species notwithstanding (finch, brambling, canceled e pipit) will be allowed from 7 October until 31 December 2009.
- Finch: 20 animals per day for each hunter for a total seasonal number of 100 animals;
- Brambling: 5 animals per day for each hunter for a total seasonal number of 25 animals;
- Cancellation: 20 animals per day for each hunter for a total seasonal number of 100 animals;
- Pipit: 20 animals per day for each hunter for a total seasonal number of 50 animals.
Also for the 2009 hunting season, live calls belonging to huntable species may be used by way of derogation, as long as they come from breeding.
The withdrawal in derogation will be allowed to all hunters enrolled in the ATCs, the CAs and those who practice hunting in the AFV
We would have definitely preferred that the approval of the derogation regime in Veneto take place again this year by law, as happened without interruption from 2002 to 2008 - commented the ACV-CONFAVI President Maria Cristina Caretta - but we realize that the inappropriate forcing of the 'coupled FIDC / Lega has made it impossible for the Veneto Regional Council to approve the law.
For this hunting season - continued the President of ACV-CONFAVI - we will have to make a virtue of necessity, trusting that this year's lesson will serve those who have tried to overdo it with propaganda initiatives whose consequences run the risk of ruining the fruit of years of work.
We are confident that for next season he will put aside carelessness and improvisation, returning to apply the regime of derogation with the law, as has been the case continuously in the last seven hunting seasons.
