La Regional Council of Umbria, on the proposal of the councilor for hunting Fernanda Cecchini, has definitively approved the hunting calendar is preferably used for 2018-2019 season, and the first effects will take place next Sunday, June 17, when the selection hunt for roe deer will begin. As pointed out by Cecchini herself, the choices are in line with the last few seasons and there will be too a strong harmony with the directives of the European Union.
The calendar was submitted to the opinion of the Higher Institute for Environmental Protection and Research (ISPRA). Two pre-opening days are scheduled, on 2 and 9 September (9 until 13), excluding the blackbird from the huntable species, and a change in the period of the wild boar collection, scheduled for the next hunting season from 6 October to 6 January. In particular, Cecchini provided more details on the pre-opening: "Two days are confirmed, on Sunday 2, from 6.15 to 19.30, and Sunday 9, from 6.15 to 13, in which it will be possible to hunt exclusively from temporary stalking, fixed with live calls and stalking for waterfowl, the species foreseen in last year's calendar, with the exception of the blackbird.
The general start of the hunt will be on 16 September, the third Sunday of the month, as required by national law ”. As for the wild boar harvest, in the permitted forms, it has been slightly postponed, moving the opening date to 6 October and the closing date to 6 January. For the other periods and the withdrawal methods, i criteria adopted last season ”.
