La LAV (Anti-Vivisection League) commented on the situation that is about to emerge on May 4th, when the restrictions for the coronavirus will be partially relaxed: "Among the numerous indications that provide for the easing of the limits imposed on the movement of citizens, there is also the resumption of some economic activities according to the ATECO codes reported in attachment 3 to the Prime Ministerial Decree, the first of which concerns “Agricultural crops and production of products animals, hunting and related services".
As is known, the restrictive measures imposed with the previous Prime Ministerial Decree, prevent the hunting activity as it is considered not included among those that are of "necessity or urgency", which is why it does not justify the exit of the hunters from home. The provisions introduced with the Prime Ministerial Decree in force from 4 May do not change this condition, as the ATECO codes refer exclusively to economic activities.
Being hunting a playful activity, its exclusion from permitted activities is therefore implicit. The LAV legal department performed an accurate analysis of the new provisions contained in the Prime Ministerial Decree of 26 April concerning hunting ".
