As pointed out byLombard Hunters Association, there are many named squares in every corner and country of Italy and most of these bear the names of famous politicians and writers, or remember historical dates and events. In Vagezza, in the municipality of Marmentino (Brescia), instead, a square was dedicated to a traditional figure, the hunter. Sunday 31 March will in fact be inaugurated with all the trappings of officialdom "Hunter's Square" and a monument about 2 meters high will also be inaugurated, representing hunting from the hut, that of fur and that of feather.
As evidence is a plaque on which appear the logos of hunting associations. A testimony and a way not so much to pay homage to the hunters of the area, but precisely to publicly clear the customs of a historical figure of those places, of the Val Trompia, a figure, that of the hunter, who is part of the context of yesterday, today and who will also be in the future. A figure that has always been part of our civil society, one that is based on traditions, family, work, respect and loyalty. A figure for which no one should be ashamed and that deserves due recognition.
