From today 9 March, until 12 March 2018, the Nuremberg Exhibition Center has once again become, with IWA Outdoor Classics the meeting place of 1.558 exhibitors from all over the world. Historically, the Fair was born in 1974 from an exhibition set up in a foyer to accompany the assembly of the members of the German Association of Shotgun Manufacturers and Arms Dealers. At the first edition it had just 106 exhibitors and about 2.000 professional visitors.
Over the years the original proposal of the show, focused on hunting and shooting weapons with the related ammunition, has been constantly expanded, especially in the field of cutlery, outdoor clothing, optics and electronics for activities outdoors and products for civil safety and public order forces, thus becoming IWA OutdoorClassics with over 50.000 visitors expected.
Today eight out of ten exhibitors and almost two thirds of the visiting operators reach Nuremberg every year from countries outside of Germany to participate in this sector event, reserved exclusively for a professional audience, which takes place in eleven halls and over 100.000 square meters of exhibition area.
Naturally, Italy is also widely represented with 162 exhibitors. Among all we remember Beretta, Benelli, Franchi, Caesar Guerini, Bignami, Crispi, Fiocchi, Sabatti, Breda, BSPlanet, Konus, Chiappa, Cosmi, Bornaghi, Fausti, Maserin, Uberti, Sako, Maremmano, Trabaldo, Tanfoglio, Baschieri and Pellagri ... for the complete list consult the fair website.
