Thirty-nine hunting lodges within nine years: this is what will happen to mezzocorona, municipality in the province of Trento in which these stalking will be authorized, as established by a resolution of the municipal council that took its cue from the provincial law. As reported by The Adige, we are talking about the Law number 24 of 1991, containing “Regulations for the protection of wildlife and for the exercise of hunting. Furthermore, the preparation of the huts depends on a prior notification to the competent municipality from the territorial point of view and in compliance with the proposal of the Wildlife Service and that which deals with urban planning and landscape protection.
The application was presented by the rector of the Mezzocorona Hunters Reserve, who attached the 39 documents signed by those who had the right. The permits were therefore issued by the Trentino municipality and have a duration of nine years, with the possibility of renewal upon expiry. However, there are some criteria that must be strictly respected.
In particular, the huts must not be less than 50 meters away from carriage roads and railways, while the distance increases to 100 meters for housing, workplaces and working agricultural machinery. The fixed post for the migratory hunt, then, it must respect the territorial limit of 100 meters, increased to 200 in the case of hunting ungulates. Appropriate signs will be required, without forgetting the ban on shooting at a distance of less than 150 meters with a smooth-bore rifle.
