Il Cabinet met yesterday, Wednesday 27 February 2019, at Palazzo Chigi to examine 41 laws of the Italian regions and autonomous provinces. Specifically, the CdM, under the presidency of Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte, was called to evaluate the proposal of Erika Stefani, owner of the Ministry for Regional Affairs and Autonomies.
It was during this meeting that the Government decided to challenge the law of the Liguria Region number 29 of last December 27th, specifically the one that contains the provisions related to the Stability Law as regards the year 2019. According to what has been learned, some rules on hunting and fishing they are in contrast with the provisions of the European Union, as well as invade the competence that is reserved to the State in the matter of environmental protection.
Going into more detail of the argument, the violation is that of first and second paragraph (letter "s") of article 117 of the Constitution. The disputed point concerns the inclusion of additional days each week to practice the hunting for migratory birds in October and November. The measure in question was approved by a law instead of an administrative act examined from year to year, namely the hunting calendar.
