By order of March 16, the Abruzzo region updated the provisions on the control of wild boar populations, wild boar selection hunting, voluntary vigilance and dog training in areas subject to travel restrictions due to the outbreak from Covid-19. Referring to the text of the Ordinance attached hereto, in particular the Region has established that:
For operations to control wild boar populations, the movement of employees participating in control activities is allowed within the provincial territory of competence and also after 22:00. The activity of selective collection of wild boar, authorized according to the provisions of the DGR n. 67/2021, can be carried out by hunters in possession of the necessary requirements, in the territory:
- of the municipality of residence, domicile or home;
- of the ATC of registration / admission.
Wildlife monitoring activities are allowed (censuses), on the dates that will be indicated by the Region, organized by ATC, Parks and Reserves. The aforementioned activity may be carried out throughout the region by the persons whose names will be transmitted to the police by the bodies that will carry out the censuses.
In order to pursue animal welfare, in reference to the dogs used in the field of hunting and wildlife control interventions and to maintain the level of efficiency of the same, it is allowed to carry out training activities and training of dogs within the Dog Areas and in the Dog Training Areas referred to inart. 18 of LR10 / 2004 also located in municipalities other than that of residence, domicile or home.
