Orgosolo, Three criminals attempt a robbery of a company of hunters back home but a shooting ensues and they are put on the run.
Three bandits armed with rifles and pistols with balaclavas pulled down over their faces suddenly emerged from the darkness. The Ducato van loaded with hunters returning from a wild boar joke he was trudging along the agrarian penetration road immersed in the green countryside of Montes, up there above Orgosolo, at the foot of the Supramonte.
The three bandits emerged from behind a large bush, in a rough stretch and immediately pointed their weapons menacingly at the van. When the driver illuminated the three he did not hesitate and with a reckless maneuver he engaged the reverse gear and started at full speed backwards on the very narrow road, stopping after a few tens of meters. Regardless of the fact that the three bandits had started firing numerous shots, probably to intimidate the men on board the vehicle and hit him at least once. Meanwhile, the others hunters they picked up their rifles and loaded them ready to face the criminals.
As soon as he stopped, all six hunters who were inside the Fiat Ducato came out armed and started shooting. Responding to the fire of the bandits and engaging in a conflict that lasted for a few minutes. Until the criminals realized they had met the wrong people and so they preferred to escape by losing their tracks in the bushes, helped by the darkness.
The dramatic episode took place in the late afternoon of yesterday, November 13, shortly after 17 pm on the Montes plateau, a beautiful area on the outskirts of Orgosolo. The agents of the Orgosolo Police Station arrived at the scene of the shooting after a few minutes. They had been alerted by an excited phone call for help that the hunters, members of a large hunting company in the province of Cagliari, had made when the firefight was still in progress.
The specialists of the Nuoro forensic police also arrived in Montes, who carried out the surveys in search of useful elements to trace the perpetrators of the failed robbery. During the surveys, the agents also discovered that the Fiat Ducato van had been hit by a buckshot, which lodged on the left side of the front hood, clearly fired in the direction of the driver with the intention of forcing him to stop. But the bandits found people hard and ready to react, perhaps even unwittingly.
But the episode is a signal for the future. This from Montes is the first attempted robbery of hunters in this hunting season in the Nuorese area. The agents of the Orgosolo police station sifted through the whole area and carried out a series of searches until late at night in search of useful elements for the investigation.
