Poaching: Bari, a poacher was surprised and reported by the Forestry while hunting wild boars in the Difesa Grande woods.
A poacher who was intent on hunting wild boar in the Difesa Grande forest of Gravina in Puglia, an area protected as a Site of Community Importance (Sic) and as a Protection Oasis, was discovered and denounced by the State Forestry Corps. The check was carried out by the anti-poaching department of the provincial command in collaboration with the Cassano Murge and Gioia del Colle station commands.
For some time, in fact, the agents had identified a "pasture" in the wood, that is to say a pit dug in the ground and filled with feed and water to attract wild boars, and in the vicinity there was also an artfully created ambush with twigs and shrubs to camouflage the poacher. After repeated stalking, the men of the Forestry have identified the person responsible, who is a man from Gravina.
The poacher was surprised just as he took a position and aimed with the rifle equipped with precision optics and even a night vision device, waiting for the passage of the wild boars. The man was reported and the weapon and its ammunition were confiscated.
