The First Section of the Piedmont Regional Administrative Court pronounced a sentence on a man who had appealed against the Ministry of the Interior and the Vercelli Police Headquarters. The aim was to cancel a provision of two years ago by the Vercelli commissioner with which the request for rifle port for sporting use. One was discovered against this person irrevocable sentence for illegal carrying of weapons.
The irrevocability is dated 1981, while the man had been rehabilitated five years later, therefore, an attempt was made to make the administrative judges understand that the criminal record had to be assessed in a broader context of elements. As often happens in similar situations, it was also chosen to evaluate the conduct of subsequent life of the interested party.
The measure of the Piedmontese Police Headquarters was triggered automatically, without however considering a rehabilitation dating back to Ben 31 years ago and that the crime committed was an isolated episode, with no other charges for the applicant. The appeal was therefore upheld, with annulment of the decision by the commissioner, without prejudice to the other assessments to be made by the administration.
