The associations of hunters use the TAR against the ordinances of the Municipalities that have prohibited hunting on the cycle paths that run along the banks of the rivers Marecchia and Conca. "In Province of Rimini an unprecedented attack on the hunting world is underway ”, says Michele Grassi, president of the Rimini 1 Hunting Territorial Area, in a letter sent to the regional councilor for Agriculture, Hunting and Fishing, Simona Caselli. The administrative appeal was entrusted to the lawyer Angelo Raffaele Beatrice, but in the meantime the hunters point the finger at the Municipalities of Rimini, Morciano di Romagna, Poggio Torriana, Santarcangelo and Verucchio "who have issued orders prohibiting the exercise of hunting activities in the areas adjacent to 'historical-naturalistic routes' made to pass through 'cycle-pedestrian paths', which are outlined along the main river courses of our Province ”.
“It would seem - writes Grassi - that everything originated from a note sent by the Prefecture of Rimini to some municipalities; with that note we invited to take measures in those areas of competence affected by 'cycle paths', due to alleged public safety and public safety problems connected to the exercise of hunting in a wandering form ". And again: “Suddenly it seems that the hunter (…) has become the first among the dangers that can disturb public order. It is true that Rimini was one of the Provinces in the Region with the highest hunting density index but it is also equally true that in the last twenty years the number of hunters has halved ”.
So: if these prohibitions were not there when hunters were 7mila, why impose them now when they are reduced to just over 3? In addition, the Territorial Hunting Areas of the Province of Rimini "have never been consulted nor informed of those dangerous situations to which reference is made, practically excluded from any decision and consultation". Instead “they are trampling all rules and principles provided for by national and regional legislation on wildlife-hunting planning ". But the legal aspects will be dealt with by the TAR of Bologna, including the question of whether the municipal ordinance is a legitimate instrument in this matter.
