Sabatti SpA - leading company in the sector of bolt-action rifles Made in Italy hunting and precision shooting, with over three hundred years of history and experience in gun production - announces a new technological breakthrough, the most recent in its long tradition of innovation and drive for progress: the Green turning point.
With the installation of a new 130 kWp photovoltaic system, Sabbath paves the way for a wider transition towards greater sustainability, from an energy and climate point of view, in the production of sporting weapons of Valtrompia.
An energy transition, the one initiated by Sabatti, is already underway in many sectors of large industry, but not yet in the much more widespread family-run businesses that characterize a large part of the arms manufacturing sector in the Brescia area, where the Sabatti example could act as an accelerator impulse. Partly thanks to the incentives provided by the current Draghi Government's work program aimed at catching up with the delay with which Italy is moving in this direction compared to other important industrial countries.
The adaptation works have engaged the companies F.lli Cafferati of Lograto (BS) and Solarplay Industry Srl of Lissone (MB) in the installation of 345 monocrystalline HC Trina Solar photovoltaic modules of 375 Wp each, with two three-phase SolarEdge SE 55,2 inverters, 173 kWp each and 800 SolarEdge PXNUMX optimizers: state-of-the-art technology for electrical production in line with the modern trend of the industrial sector towards the use of renewable energy and the reduction of harmful emissions.
During the work, the roof was also rehabilitated and rebuilt, with the elimination of the old Eternit slabs, the remaking of the special fireproof sheaths on the solar pavement and the laying of a new roof in corrugated sheet, with underlying insulation in rock wool, for a total area of 1.350 square meters.
The installation of the new plant represents only the most recent step taken by Sabatti towards an overall renewal, which goes through the qualitative improvement and enrichment of the product range as much as through a marked technological modernization. A path in which a rigorous and integrated approach to the use of renewables it covers and will continue to play a leading role in the years to come.
The Sabatti family has been operating in the arms sector for almost 400 years. Passed down from father to son, from one generation to the next, all the acquired experiences have not been lost, and are what today gives quality to Sabatti weapons. Sabatti is a leader in the production of rifled barrels, whose excellent performance makes them highly appreciated all over the world by gun manufacturers as well as by sporting shooters and the most demanding professionals. With the exception of the kicks, all the components of the Sabatti weapons they are produced within the company, using the best available technologies and a “know-how” that few other companies at an international level can boast.
